Future Technology Devices International Ltd. is specialized in converting legacy peripherals to Universal Serial Bus. At the time of this writing the FT2232 is the only device on the market which supports synchronous serial protocols such as I2C, SPI and JTAG.
Macraigor Systems LLC created the legendary Wiggler, which had been copied many times by other individuals and organizations. It is probably still the least cost JTAG solution, but requires a parallel printer port. Macraigor offers a number of USB solutions as well.
Manufactures the SAM-ICE / J-Link device. See Michael Fischer's page at www.yagarto.de about how to make it work with OpenOCD. He compared the J-Link to an FT2232 based adapter speedwise with interesting results.
